just did a complete tune up. changed oil in the motor and th400. got rid of some wires from the po that go no where.. hooked up his new lights.. hooked the battery.. we use to hear a click. no click now. no power to the starter.. new battery.. dont see any relay under the dash. light all work.. he needs to go to work.. what are we missing? thanks

Could the ground wire have gotten loose/unhooked from taking the battery out?

check all the wires to the starter as well.make sure the start wire is on and tight and is getin power from the ignition when you turn the key to start it.you may have eliminated a wire that was in line to the ignition.

Run a wire straight off the battery onto the starter? Heard of that workin before although never tried it myself.

ive done this when my ignition switch went out.you have to hook a wire to the s terminal on the starter solenoid and then put it to positive on the battery.if the ignition has power it will start.and then just take the wire off the positive terminal and leave it off and tucked away.it is a quick fix for now.

didnt figure this out in time.. still at my house.. took one of my trucks.. didnt have time to look at it today

still working on this

anyone know what this is? found to the left under the dash.. still no power to the starter.. working on it. hope to get it going soon

I have no input, except that if it started before you should look back over your work, one of those wires or when you gooked up the lights had to be important

all figured out. was the fusible link down by the starter... started right up

glad you found it.i forgot about that one.either way it had to be power loss at somepoint in the system.good work.i took out all my fusable links and wired in a extra fuse block so it would be easier to diagnose for that reason.i had the same thing happen when i wired in my hei and ignition box.
