I am wondering if anyone has any experence with centrifigal superchargers. Right now I have a roots type supercharger on my 383, and I need more boost. I built the engine to handle a 6-71 and I am now looking in to a F-2 Procharger with an intercooler. I want to run 20-25psi of boost and am looking for 1100-1200 hp. Thanks for your input.

sorry dont know much about supers, would love to help you but what in the hell do you plan on putting that motor in? 1200 horse would provide for one hell of alot of fun in a k5.

AFAIK, a roots-type gives more power than a centrifugal. The only benefit to a centrifugal is that it's easier to install and requires less parts (and less hood clearance).
Maybe if you put them in series? Or add a turbo?

Hope your lower end is built to handle it. :eek1:

change the vanes in the roots blower, or change pully size. dont go mini blower, its going to put you backwards in the HP world. or if you still dont get enough boost, go with a 8-71... ive been doing blower stuff for years at work.
