...if anyone knows if the newer blocks are like the older ones with bigger holes and center pin heads?

I have a '75 Highboy and will be swapping in a D70 but the stock 4" blocks have tabs with holes on them for the u-bolts to go thru and they're not wide enough for the tubes of the D70.

Kind of hard to explain the block unless I get a pic of one up here.

I need to know if Ford used a 4.5" or 5" factory block. I'd like the factory type for the bump stop bracket that casted into the block.

If I can't find anything to fit this axle tube size, I will be looking into getting a pair made from solid stock/billet. I need a 5" x 5" x 2.25" wide. Not quite sure on the hole sizes but will clean them up and measure. These blocks don't need any taper at all.

Anyone know of any stock Ford blocks and anyone can mill out the blocks from stock if needed?
