OK so i have an 88 blazer stock 10b F/R.
Ok so now my front pass side is making grinding noise its fine wen i take off but like 20 mins into driving it starts griding.
I just put in new manuel locking hubs (WARN PREMEUM) didnt repack the berings could that be it the berings?

Yea, you can give it a try......But if you take the bearings out, you should ALWAYS repack them, IMO, it can never hurt. Are you sure you got everything together right? I know when i put mine back together, it takes a little patience.....

Ahh, thats right, I did a lot more than that, which is why i had my bearings out......I think you should still pull em and repack em....

i have never dont that be fore wat will i need and how should i do it

off topic wat kind of silcone did u use to seal ur front diff wen u replaced ur fluid?

Did you re-install the clip on the end of the axle before you put the outer half of the locking hubs on? If not the axle shaft can move inward some and bind and break a U-joint or even worse the axle itself.

Well, the only other thing i can say is i've had the stub axle rub on the inside of the locking hub and make some noise so you might want to pull the locking portion of the hub and check for any wear marks.

First off - pull the hub back off on the noisy side and check it. If you find metal fragments it's toast. I had one that even when properly installed would hang on the shaft and had to be replaced. I would NEVER pull a hub without repacking the bearings while I'm in there. They should be repacked at least once a year and even more often if you are in water alot. From experience I can tell you that while it's bad to chew a rear wheel bearing it's ROTTEN to chew a front. You will end up loosing the axle stub and all of the hub assembly at the very least, and if you sieze it up you will probably snap the u-joint and kiss the entire axle goodbye.

Stop where you are at. Since you have the front diff open go ahead and pull the hub on the noisy side and pull out the axle. Check the axle bearing and seal on that side as well as the wheel bearing and races on both the axle and stub. Replace the axle seal while you are there and check for play or obvious wear in the u-joint and ball joints while you are there.

A couple of extra hours in the garage beat a day broke down on the trail - or a $400 tow bill!

dude! you gotta repack! plus check for proper tightness on them too! how long have you drove the truck? without being packed and snug, bearings go bad quick and make a grinding sound.
