need some help with a 2001 dodge van. not shifting

working on this for a friend. has a v8 4speed auto and it a 2500. done everything i can think of. sometimes it will shift most of the time it will not. no engine light on. any ideas? thanks guys

I know and have seen some dodge trannys have electrical plug problems at tranny case. heavy corrosion from years of water / salt rotts them out.

check them out.

vans 2wd. ill take a look at the plugs. not shifting up. keep getting code 1740. not sure what it is. scanner didnt say

nope.. truck is sitting at my friends trans shop. tranny is shot

friend coundnt do it.. took it to another shop rebuilt. not even a week no forward gears
