new parts are:
tps

fuel relay

also, the speedometer now jumps. any ideas? i need this fixed. i have no clue. i tried what i know.

thanks

You look in the troubles hooting section of the Haynes manual? As far as the speedo jumpin that sounds like the cable is getting dried out. Pull the cable from behind the cluster and slather it up with good grease- lithium maybe.

plugs maybe? I would think the tps or fuel filter, but you just replaced them. It doesn't have a cam position sensor does it? those things blow.

When the speedometer on our van jumped, it was a problem with the instrument cluster. I got lucky and found one on EBay for 25 bucks.

This year will have a VSS not a cable, so if the needle is jumping it can be a few things. Most common is a failed gauge, but it can also be the speed sensor.

It will also have a crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor, these can cause an issue. One thing to try is locate the knock sensor, take a hammer and with the vehicle running, tap the side of the engine. This will cause the computer to reset the timing, and may help.

If you are not getting a SES light, it may still be worth it to have the computer scanned, as it may have pending codes that are not bad enought to trip the SES light.

These are pretty reliable vehicles, especially the 4.3, but the AWD tends to have some issues.
