Need some help with a Dodge truck

Hey guys,
I have a co-worker that has a Dodge Dakota with a Magnum V6. Just recently he has been having troubles starting after the vehicle has been driven. When he starts it in the morning, it starts up fine. But when he tries to start it later in the day, it cranks, but doesnt start. If it does start, he has to put it in drive and start moving otherwise the truck dies. After it warms up, it stumbles at idle. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Figure out if its getting spark or fuel when it won't start.

Ignition modules are notorious for causing a hot no spark condition.

What year is it? just check the code if its OBD2. the ignition module is a great place to start!!!

Its a 97. I'll check for spark once the ice thaws.
