Im gonna try to make this short, I have a 1988 K5 that was my dads before he passed. This truck means the world to me. Im trying to rebuild it. I bought a new GM 350 for it a few months back, previously I dropped a boat anchor 305 out of my 1991 Camaro into it, as well as swapping to the serpentine belt. I'm having so many issues now with the water pump. I bought the one for the 1988 from the alldata part number but nothing wants to work. Doesnt fit with the p/s pump off the Camaro and the water pump pulley itself I had to drill new holes to mount onto the new water pump. Has anyone ever swapped from V-belt to serpentine and had these problems? I have a reversed water pump. And my boss is up my ass about getting it out of the shop.
