so heres my deal. I own an 89 suburban that had a TBI 350 in it, last spring, the motor got cracked and i parked it. Its been a while, and i really miss driving it, so i'm thinking about what to do for an alternative engine. i'i big into diesels, and would like to talk to anyone who has done a diesel conversion in their truck. i'm thinking about trying to find a cummins 12 valve (if possible) to put in place of the 350. i know there would be modifications, just to what extent? i would also find a tranny to go with the cummins, and probably a T-case as well. this would mean custom driveshafts, but i'm not too worried about that. Lets hear it guys, good idea, or am i out of my mind?
