Need some new lock out hubs

well the one side on my truck is shot, so its time for some new hubs. I currently have warn premiums. I am gonna get a new set of those same hubs. 3 question. 1 what size spline is a 78' 1/2 ton dana 44? 2 does any one know what size hub socket i need to take this all apart? 3. is there any good hub installation write ups?

You couldn't look it up by application? Dana 44 and 10 bolts on a GM were always 19-spline. Hell, some Dodges and Fords where 19 splines. However, there is retrofit kit for replacing the auto hubs, and that had to do with the lock washer.

not hard u can buy a axle nut socket to fit right in but a screw driver and hammer work just a slow process 1ey 9 spline is correct of course but when u buy for ur axle u get the right one they come with some insturtions buy do one at a time and watch how u take them a part they go together easy. do not add any grease they just need anough to LIGHTLY cover it but NO MORE!
