Need Some opinions

Well today I went over to look at a truck my buddy bought for the axels (one tons) and he said it was in decent shape that I might be able to build it up. Its a 85 Chevy Silverado 10 bolt in the front 12 in the rear box is great replaced and in primer as is the hood. No motor 400 trans ?? Case. Some sort of newer "specialty rear drive shaft". Now for the bad needs rockers (there a little soft) and there are no doors or front driveshaft. Truck from what I see seems do able (easy to medium build). But he also said that I could have his 35" Mickey Baja Claws with 90% tread on nice chrome rims all for 400 The tires and rims are worth more than that. But he dosent have a title anyone have any experiance with lost titles.

Find a Vin and title from the same year model and keep your mouth shut. For $400 I would keep what I wanted and part out the rest.

Call your DMV. You can get a slavage title for it.

I found the title should have it in a few days, I dont know if I want to part it cause I got a 350 it got a 400 trans and stock transfercase and all sorts of stuff looks like someone started a repair job but ran out of funds but well see how things pan out when I get it and start needing more parts. As for the cab we alreday thought of that and we were going do that if we couldnt find the appropriate title.
