I am about to go look at a transmision that is supposed to be a "TH400 but the electric kind for 93 up" So how do I ID a 4L80E by looking at it?

Large electrical connector on the drivers side, where the shift selector is.
May even say on it somewhere, either paper or plastic tag. Can't recall if mine did or not.
You could also run the shifter through all gear positions, obviously one more for the 4L80E.

Nevermind, I found a good identification guide through google and it matches the pic the guy sent. Called the guy and said I'll take it and be right over. I just scored a 4L80E core for $75.
