Besides junk yard and ORD who has them, i need the same stock size, also whats the diference between the stock ones and the lowering ones??

im sure many have them. why do you need another option than the 2 you listed?

Lowering ones are longer. Since stock setup is hanging shackle, when you make it longer, it lowers the truck.

So you can get "lowering" shackles and if you have a shackle flip to a compression type it will raise the truck

Ive been running bad bushings for a while and when you take a good look at the sleeve of the shackle its crearly pulled so im guessing it will be a damn drag to take the sleeves out wich i dont see the point of for starters, ORD's are over $100 and i dont want to spend that on some shackles i guess il try the junk yard then.

If your looking for stock front shackles, I will give you mine for free. I have stock shackles for a 1/2 ton 4x4. I am pulling them on Tues. I can send you them on Wed.

I just bought two new rear shackles for my '82 K2500 from a local spring shop, for 25 bucks apeice..GM no longer sells them for the 73-87 trucks!..but I searched online and Dorman now sells a few different ones ,the ones from an '88 and up truck are almost identical with the exception of the bolt hole spacing being 3/8" farther apart,so they'll lower the truck slightly and have to be replaced in pairs..The Dorman ones come with one bolt and a leaf spring bushing also, for about the same cost as just the shackle costed me at the spring shop..

Ford Ranger rear shackles are almost identical too, except the bolt spacing is 1/2" apart, they could be used in pairs too, they'll lower the truck some as well ..

I'll have to look at the package my shackles came in to see the brand name,I cant remember it off the top of my head--they were made in the USA though!..:D..but one place I found on a google search was "ATS" in PA,they have a good website with dimensional illustrations ,etc..

But since new ones are available you might as well get the correct ones....

The ones I got were "Automann" brand--they have a web site,I think the part number on them was M1141,but I might be off on that ,I forgot to write it down and dont trust my memory--and the ones for your truck could be different as some had 5/8" bolts and others had 9/16"...
