My truck is a '87 k5 blazer.

1. I want to put a rear sway bar on. Can I get something off the internet that will have all the brackets necessary to install it or am I going to have to fab something to mount it to the frame and axel.

2. I want to put in arm rest on the front seats. Do they make some that came from the factory or will this have to be a custom job?

I appreciate any help at all. This my first k5 and I am still trying to get used to it...

Most people try to free up the suspension on a k5. JC whitney used to sell sway bar kits that bolt in, I don't know if they have one for a K5. What are you doing with the truck that makes you want a rear swaybar?

I don't know when armrests started but I know 88-91 silverado burbs and blazers had armrests on the bucket seats

I've never heard of or seen a blazer with factory armrests on the bucket seats. The burbs did for sure. My 89 blazer is a silverado and it does not have armrests.

To the OP Hellwig sells rear sway bar kits. Not sure if they have one for a blazer but you should check out their website. Does the blazer have factory axles under it still and or do you plan to swap to a 14ff at some point?

Hellwig does make a rear sway bar for the full size blazer.

the reason i want the sway bar is this truck seems to have a lot of body roll. Maybe it's normal and I'm not used to it. As far as axels go...I eventually would like to put some beefier axels. Right now it has stock 1/2 ton w/3.73:1. Turning 35's i'm sure something will eventually go pop.

Again...thanks for the help.

No problem. He could always try to adapt burb seats into the blazer. The floors are completely different but i'm sure one could make up a mount easy enough.

I think the arm rests were an option or something. My '86 K5 had them.

Here's some pictures a quick search found:

I could swear mine had ashtrays in the arms though.

He wants arm rests on the FRONT seats. Blazers did come factory with rear seat arm rests, not sure when GM started it but my 89 had them until i removed them.
