i recently put a dana 60 in my blazer... turns out its a dodge... the spring perches are different cauzing my springs to move inside the shackle towards the outside of the truck.. any quick fixes for this in the busshing dept?

i just did the samething, i put a set uf dodge front and rear in my 73 k5. The best thing you can do is make freinds with some one who ca weld (stick, it has more tensile strength) And re weld the spring perch on. Oh and your going to have to weld on new shock mounts the dodge one wont work

yup he's right there is no easy fix

the shocks work fine...i've had this diff in my truck for a couple months now out with it three times n/ps just noticed the rear of the springs movin towards the outside of the truack in the shackle

if you have polyurethane bushing you can easily trim the outers to make the springs sit at the right distance. 1/4" outward on each side and you're golden.

its rubber right now but am going to get urethane on staurday...so i trim the outter piece?.. what holds the bushing in place then? im con fused lol

Do a search on this.
You may have to go pretty far back but there was once someone who spec'd out the bushing numbers to offset the springs the correct way.

Anyone remember these part numbers?

That may have been Az-Kickin that did those offset bushings (now that I've been thinking about it for a while.)

Sure, there's an easy fix. The difference is 1 1/2", right? Make a set of zero rates, but offset the center pins 3/4" to the side instead of front to back. You may have to clearance the underside of the spring plate, but it's still not a big deal.
