From what I read from searching. Is that a stock 56 in the rear will gain no lift over a 52"? So with a shackle flip would get me 4" lift. So if I bought some new 56 springs with a 4" lift would get me a 8" lift? And if they sat a little to high I could probly remove the overloads? Holding sombodys had some experience using a 4" lift 56 in the rear with a shackle flip

i have no experience with 4" lift 56s but i had 52s and then i installed 56s and it was roughly the same height, a little lower because shackle angle was less straight up and down, but the springs themselves i think were the same "lift". And my 56s came off a 3/4 ton suburban.

Shackle length will be a factor. If you start fiddling with that then you can screw up the angle, though I never did figure out what was good and bad.

The type of spring will also be a wildcard: new springs will initially be higher than old beat 52"s (been there, done that) but may settle in over time, depending on your truck's weight and distribution. (Hard top, tire carrier in back, etc.)

Point being you'll be lucky to predict actual lift/height within an inch or so. Worst case if you wanna go down you can swap your 4" flip for the ~2" (if you went with the ORD style) and/or change shackles with either the ORD or DIY4X styles.

Yea I was hoping to find somebody with some experience with the 4" tuff country's. But I found these rough country's 2" 56's I'm thinking of giving a try. Should give me room to make a smaller shackle or use a zero rate. At the moment I got 56's that are almost bent backwards with a 4 or 2 inch block and a 4inch lowering shackle that I beefed up with the Ord 4" flip. So I'm thinking those springs will give me plenty of room to work with and if there too stiff I'll take a leaf or 2 out
