Need suggestions for radiator and electric fan setup for a 454

im running the stock 305 3 core rad and 2 deawoo fans on my jimmy.i havent had any issues with it getting hot with either the auto tranny or sm465.

keep a eye on these guys. i have delt and talked with them a lot.

got a scratch n dent rad from them for a project of the boss at work. 550 hp small block . kept it cool with no fans at all not even engine fan. and never got over 190ish . old setup was stock cooper brass 2 row with electric fan big cfm . never was under 220 or more . only saw less when warming up or shut down cool down times.

thats just me tho.

and the rad we got . . . i couldnt find the scratch n dent reason on it. :eek1:
 
I used a Plastic Tank Aluminum upgrade on my K5. I forget the number. It's a thick 2 row aluminum core that surpasses the cooling capacity of a 4 row Copper Brass rad. My fan unit is from a Ford product of some kind, though I'm not sure what. I wired each through a separate relay so I could run one at a time if I wanted to. In 30 degree weather if it's pointed into even a light breeze you don't even need the fans. If it does get up to 220, You can cool it down to 180 in a couple of minutes.
