Need tailgate hinges and all hardware

Need tailgate hinges and hardware(evrything needed to install a tailgate) for 1974 Short bed P/U.

I have these for an 86. Would it be the same?

The hinges from an 86 are different. The only parts I need are the tailgate hinges at this point.I'll let you know if I need anything else.

I have a pair of hinges off of a 74 or 79 dont recall the year. I think I used the pivots, I would have to check.

Yeap just as I thought, hinges only, the pivots I used to hold my bedsides on.

I think you should double check, I'm pretty sure the later ones will fit both an older gate and the truck. Good luck.

OH I came across another setup yesterday while cleaning. Ill get a pic later today.

The newer set uo does not work. I aready had them. The 73-80 tailgates are different from the 81-87's.

In another couple of posts while trying to figure this out for myself, the consensus was that the hardware must match tailgate, but either setup pre or post 80 will work.
