Hey I can wait. I was planning on doing this in the morning anyway. BTW I robbed this tbi and ecm from an 87 so that will be great.

Is this what I'm looking for in a cable?

ok, should get to the shop around 7 am, look at the wires, and post up.

Thanks Randy good stuff. I'm going to build my own cable in a couple of days. Now I just need to get the aldl port straight. This is what I've got right now.

Heres the update: I've got the aldl port all straight. I made a cable and ran Winaldl, it worked for a 7 secs (I was loging data) and then I think my solering skills became apparent. So I borrowed a friends snap on computer and checked it out. No codes came up and it looked as if all sensors were well within spec. Its still not running right. I have since change the fuel filter, coil, plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor button, and now I thinking about the fuel pump. Is there anyway to check this pump before I by a new one? I know a guage but I don't have one. If I unhook the main out line on the pump and switch the truck on should'nt fuel start pumping out? It doesn't.

To make sure 'not getting fuel' is the problem, just incase I have overlooked something, I spray some ether (starting fluid) down the intake while cranking. If the truck runs as long as you keep spraying the fluid, then its most likely a fuel issue. A pump would be a likely culprit. Check to see if your getting power to the pump. Check the relay. Just to be sure, I even put power to the pumps power wire to see if I could manually run the pump before I dropped the tank.

All being said, its most likely a fuel pump. I would get an ACDelco just for the piece of mind. Dont forget to get a strainer sock(fuel pump filter) while your at it.
