As the title states, i need to go from fuel pump to carb. Finding a pre-bent line for SBC v-8 is easier than falling off a log. However, i can't find any for the 4.3 v-6, which is what i'm using.

1) If you can find where i can get a pre-bent line for 4.3 v-6, then fine.

2) If not, then i was thinking of building my own using steel braided line and A/N fittings thinking it will be the cheapest (relatively speaking) easiest, and quickest way to go.

a) Or buying a kit like this:

Now, i know A/N doesn't need thread sealant, but do you still need to use the plastic O ring at the carb's fuel inlet when you are using those A/N fittings? (it's a quadrajet)

NOTES: Stock fuel pump and quadrajet carb. (as you may know the 4.3 came with carb for like 2 years. i think code LB1)

P.S.

i suppose i should back up for a second:

The reason why i can't just use one off of a v-8 small block is because on mine, the fuel pump is mounted "upside down." i'm not sure if ALL 90degree v-6s have this same configuration, but looking at the part #'s i suspect they DO.

P.P.S.

Actually, thinking about it more, i think the A/N fitting screws into the nut which uses the white, plastic O ring in question. And it's the nut that uses that O ring, not the fitting. i think i got confused.

So, i think the question now is if anyone knows of the availability of a pre-bent pump-to-carb line for the 4.3 v-6

Just buy a long enough length of the proper size brake line and bend one up yourself. Back in the days when I ran carbs I would do this in less than 5 minutes.

i might try this. What size/type fittings go on the ends? i know what type, i just don't know what they are called and i don't know what the "official" sizes are.
