I'm not crazy, I have seen it!!

I have a gm crate motor, Gen I with the plastic timing cover. It has a provision for a Crank position senor.

I won't be using the sensor. I have seen a $10.00 plug that replaces the sensor. I have a new 'puter and have lost alllll my bookmarks (WAHHHHH)

If you guys come across it, please give me a shout out!

I thought I referenced it here, can't locate it....:dunno:

as always, thanks in advance.....

That's the one!!! Thanks Dave!:bow::bow::bow::bow:

I knew I hadn't lost it....... completly!

cool. I ordered the plug. If I ever need to swap the cover, I'll look at making a standard stamped unit fit...I just don't like plastic engine parts...

Like it or not the plastic parts are the way to go. They seal better and dont leak thru the pinchwelded lower gasket retianer. The newer Vortec V-6's have plastic valve covers and plastic oil pans to, but at least the V-8's just have the timing cover. I was like you at first but now only build engines 96 and up that use the plastic cover.
