need to rethread spindle

i have a 1976 chevy corvette that i am am trying to repair damged threads on the front spindle. anyone know what size and threads per inch it is ?
or does anyone know where i can abtain this info ?
i need to buy a die/thread cleaner and do not know whuch to buy .

you might be able to get it with a thread file if it's not too bad. go slow n careful. i have no idea on the threads, but if you find out what they are, i can prolly find a die nut.
