That was posted about a year ago on towrig.com, the sister site. We basically made fun of the thing.

I wouldn't use it, I want all of the tongue weight sitting on the frame of my truck spread across both axles. I wouldn't feel comfortable with that thing at all.

Ditto, I wouldn't like it. Why would you buy a fifth wheel trailer if you own a dokota?

Exactly, you have no business towing any kind of 5th wheel with almost any kind of SUV or 1/2ton pickup.

There is only three vehicles I can think of that are SUV's and have factory ratings high enough to pull a 5th wheel.

Ford Excursion
later model 3/4ton Burbs
3/4 Avalanche.

With that, if your market for that stupid thing was narrowed down to owners that had these vehicles and actually wanted to pull something large enough that requires 5th wheel status.... I think you'd go broke as there just wouldn't be enough customers.

Looks to me like it would have a negative affect on the tounge weight of that $hitty contraption....

No thanks. I'll stick with a nice WD hitch and a smaller trailer.

I have seen similar items being used out on the highway, they were Hotshot guys though, and were transporting the trailers for sale somewhere,,,

They had the first trailer hooked up like normal on the truck, then had a dolly similar to this behind using this type of dolly (similar). Both trailers obviously were not the super long ones either :p:

Thats normal setup for a class 8 truck with doubles. It's completely different in that setup though, your front trailer isn't a drive axle, and the rest of the rig easily outweighs the last trailer so it's much harder for that trailer to push around the rest of the rig.

as i said,,,similar setup, :wink1: the one posted up in that pic to me is just plain ugly,,,i personally wouldn't do it

$6000? Buy an older BB 3/4 ton or 1 ton 2 wheel drive for less and feel safer then that. I'd love to see someone panick stop with that behind a Tahoe or 1/2 ton pickup:eek1:

I was just thinking of a contraption setup like that....but not like thought it would be any good....
