Truck is a 90 with fuel injection and a 350 Ram Jet crate engine. I have been looking on-line and finding 700r4s from Camaros and Vans... will these work?

Also I was thinking of just going with a Turbo 400. Will this be a clean fit as a replacement to the 700r4.

Thanks!

low first gear and over drive = hell ya.

car/van 2wd wont swap direct = wrong tail shaft and full tear down to swap.

th400 over a th350 is good strength but = 20-25 hp less at rear wheels over a good built th350 .

i never trust a used / junkyard / private sale 700r4 way to many bad.

we here like bowtie over drives or monstor trannys . or best local guy you got if he is worth anything.

th350 and 700r4 = 27 spline tail shaft and 4 bolt tail adaptor pattern.

th400 and 4l80e = 32 spline tail shaft and 6 bolt adaptor pattern.

Local guy charged me $500 for a full rebuild with a transgo stage 2 reprogramming kit. Has done mine and my buddies. He got the stage 3 and that tranny is wicked awesome when it shifts. For me mine is nice and firm and I beat on quite a bit at the dunes.

Everyone talks bad about em, but I like em a lot.
