Need your opinions. 5.7L/th350 combo OR sm465/np205 combo

I have an 81 k5 that needs a tranny. It currently has a GM 250 with a smoked th350 and an un known T case.

For 400.00 bucks I can get a 350 motor tranny combo
(both have been sitting 15 years but worked perfect when pulled)

Or for the same money I can get the sm465 tranny and the np205 T case..

Now that ya know the story, here is my question. Is there a kit that has all the components for clutch pedal and assembly. Or will it be a junk yard trip?
As it is now it is a roller all works well other than the tranny.

Your best bet is to find a complete junk truck with a 4 speed setup. Look for a 1985-1987(91) as they will have a superior hydraulic clutch setup.

i would skip something that has been sitting for 15 years. thats long time to have components sitting in one spot without moving or being lubed.
