I need ideas on how to improve a 95 s-10 2wd. No money, but I need to do something to make it a little better. BTW its only a 2.0, so its gutless. So far it has 2 1/2 in. exhaust w/ a glass pack and a flow pro V-force and a K&N....HELP ME PLEASE!

Everything is okay in the end--If it's not okay, it's not the end!

All you really can do, you already did. You have better flow going in and better flow going out. All that is left is making the motor deal with what you are feeding it, like with a chip or ignition system, but those options cost money. Auto or manual? since it is 2wd you can swap to a smaller tire...mmmm that too is money

There is a cheap trick you can play on the incoming air temp sensor, it involves using a $0.38 resistor to cause the sensor to think the air is cooler than it is, this then gives the motor more gas to compensate. (I think I got that right). I do not have particulars as to what size resistor to use but some of the other S-10 sites are big on it.

Git there fastest with the mostest!

Thanks, if anyone knows anything else, let me know either by a pm here or email me. I'd love to hear from anyone!

I don't understand why you'd want to fool the computer into thinking the incoming air is cooler than it is. The amount of fuel it's getting is already optimized for the amount of air it's getting...

Seems like extra fuel could cause power loss instead? On the other hand I'm not really a guru on F.I... Although I know putting jets in a carb too big, etc will do the same thing...

the A/F ratio for max fuel economy is around 14:1 Max A/F ratio for max HP is around 12.5:1.
Running richer than stock will cause your cat to plug sooner as well.
