needle and seats info needed

I dont know if it leans it out, but it works wonders on angles. I just recently did it to mine and I am very happy. Mine used to stall on the smallest of angles. Now, I have no complaints. Also, if you take that part number to checker or craigen or what ever it is there, they can get it for you. That way you dont have to pay shipping.

The only way to change th mixture settings on your carb is to change the meetering rods and jets. Or change the float level. Spring loaded needles wont affect If float is adjusted properly.
If you really want to tune it for off road:
Set your float between 5/16" to 3/8 " Stock setting is 9/32".
This will lean it out a tad but should not hurt a stock engine and will really help with flooding at angles.
While you have the top off.
Cut a 1" long piece of vaccume line in half length wise and stick it in the float bowl balance passage as shown below. It will still alow air balance but not the fuel slosh between the bowls that causes rough running/flooding.

Do these mods along with the spring loaded needle and your performer will run almost a good as a Q-Jet offroad.

Thats good info. Do you only place the vacume line on one side?

My float has been adjusted so What would cause fuel to drip into the venturis from my secondarys at idle? Don't my jets and metering rods control that? Sorry about all the questions that last few days i'm just trying to learn before I start ripping things apart.

Ok I just looked at the rear jets (Secondary's) there not leaking but if I look down the carb. I can see a puddle of fuel......is this normal?
Thanks
Adam
