Thinking about purchasing a needle scaler to use for cleaning up axles, frames, etc in preparation for painting. Don't know anything about them.
Any suggestions as to brand, size etc.???
Thanks

I got an air hammer at HF that came with 6-7 adapters, pretty sure one was a scaler tip.
Cheap and I took care of it so it lasted. I think I paid like $20.

I already have an air chisel. So you are saying I can buy a needle scaler attachment for it?

A dedicated scaler is a cheap air tool. I paid about $25 for mine. It's Chinese for sure, and works fine. They're real good at getting rid of scale, and getting into the tight corners where nothing else fits or works. What it does best is mow through most of the work quickly, leaving very little wire wheeling/sanding etc to get to a paintable surface.

Never even heard of one till you mentioned it. Pricing them yesterday 50.00 For one that attaches to a air hammer from KMS Tools, 45.00 from Princess auto for the dedicated tool.

Took the box off Colby`s truck a few days ago...I need that tool bad! :haha:

Hell, come borrow mine...and kill a few neers while you're here. :waytogo:
