Be advised that the law requires break assist when towing more than 3500lbs in most states.A standard "Break Buddy" runs about $1000. (You could find a good flat trailer for that cost.) Hydro boost brakes complicate this even more.
They won't pull you over & check; but if you get in an accident you may be held liable.
Also you will need to make sure you can flat tow with your drivetrain. I was told if I flat tow with an NP208 I would tear it up unless I disconnect both driveshafts.

There are towbars out there that can haul up to 10K lbs but they also cost about the same as a used trailer.
