Neighbor’s ‘70ish F250, 2002 TRDv8 future swap

[K85 Octane]

Neighbor has a 1970ish Ferd 250 with a utility box, all white boring truck. Manual with 460, doesn’t like to shift or run well. He comes over today while I’m messing with my Nova and tells me his son crashed his FIL’s truck. Guess the neighbor (John) gave the truck to him. I don’t know. Anyway, it’s got a great running TRD V8 replacement engine and trans.

Gears start moving.

Curious the aftermarket support for 2002 Toyota engine swaps and transmission tuning. I only started looking at some forums, mostly kids calling each other and shops stupid, Toyota/Jeep behavior . Transmission and engine mounts are easy, radiator, EFI system, wiring, all that stuff is doable. But LS swap easy? Dunno

Pointers? Hope this goes down, a Toyota V8 in an F250 just sounds wrong on so many right levels.

I would prefer the 460 and manual.
