Nevermind

Need to sell this to fund other stuff!!!!! This will work in a TBI truck, it bolts right in. I have an extra harness and the 454 ECM and I think the alt, A/C and p/s pump stuff too.

sounds like that would be an ideal setup for a tow rig for sure. if i was needing a big motor i'd be on my way up there.........is the Vestal Steakhouse still open?

Vestal Steakhouse, wow, haven't heard that in a loooooong time!!! No, it's long gone. There is a hotel or something there now.

I talked to some people about this motor and all say it's a torque monster. They ought to be, they put them in big ass trucks to haul heavy ass loads.

Really wanted to at least run it in the truck, but want to get this thing going before I loose anymore interest in it (already thought about parting it) but needs a lot of minor trivial stuff to get it running. I found a 110% complete running 454 that I heard run, want to go that route right now.

I am interested, but looking to build another motor (500 cubic inch) using a tall deck block. I would be replacing the entire rotating assembly, cam, and intake system so I do not really need those (or to buy them).

Willing to negotiate?

Don't want to seperate anything, all goes for the same price if you don't want the intake and stuff. Take it off and scrap it or ebay...

Probly get half your money back on the crank...

x2. that crank is worth the bucks. the block is just meh... there is one for sale here for $1000. so this is a good deal

Other than money?? I dunno, just seeing what's out there. I could use a 465 and a Ford 205, 35-38" tires for 16.5 rims, big block stuff, maybe even some Wheel Horse tractor stuff. Since I can't work on the truck buried in the snow, the tractors easily fit in the garage!!!!

i got a 465/205 out of a k30 slip yoke rear. mech clutch bell. ? on condition didnt drive it.

also spare 465 with 205 all torn down for parts but all there.

i know were there is some 36" tsl sx tires. tipical dry rot but good tread still. all 4 tires for 16.5 rims.

Might have a sale, still waiting. I need a tranny off an 88-up, shifter is in the same location as a 4500 so if I ever swap the Cummins/4500 in, won't have to cut anymore holes. Also need driver side drop.

Any pics of the tires?? How bad is the dry rot??

This would be saweeet in my k10 for the sand. :)

Good luck with the sale! Surely there's some guy with an old plow truck back east where you're at that needs some grunt.

I haven't gotten a thing on it. I put on Craigslist and got nothing. A friend might be interested in it for his ramp truck, but think only because I told him $400.

whats the block casting number? I'm kind of curious now.

and the cummins swap will push the tranny back about 6", well it did in my swap. the 6B is 6" longer than a BBC

I thought I wrote the numbers down, but it's been a while, and the motor is in the truck up the road. I can try to get them, but ain't gonna be easy......

you know, whenever. I'm on no hurry. I've got an 8.1 core engine too, I'm just looking for the right block to build the blown version BBC for my camaro. I've already got the N/A version ready to drop in in the mean time.
