Nice!

Pic request, can you get a side-view with it sitting on level ground? Trying to decide between a 2" and 4" lift.... :D

Clean

Welcome to the site, low mileage. Did you restore it. Super clean truck!!!! Hang around here awhile and these guys will have cutting and chopping Later J.

Dude, that is one sweet looking rig! Welcome to the site and hurry up with the interior pics.

Very nice ... and please don't go chopping it, no matter who tempts you. We've gotta save the 1st gen sheetmetal. :deal:
My 72 also has an insulated top, but I always thought that was something my dad did to it after he bought it. :dunno:
And are those f*rd style mirrors? :shame:

Awesome to see another 1st gen in New England.

Looks very solid, sweet blazer!

Welcome to the board.

You won't be wanting to cut that one up but you might find yourself looking for one you would. :wink1:

Where in Maine are you?

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

The original owner restored it about 7 years ago. It hasn't been in rain or snow till now:(

VTblazer: I live in saco, shoot me a PM if you want

Not sure of the color, but I think I'll keep it for now. As for the insulated top, I was told that they didn't usually come this way. It has a fiberglass shell inside with ribbing in it and insulation between the outside and inside layer. It comes out in two pieces. Not sure if they were all this way or what, as I haven't seen a lot of 1st gen's in my area and this is my first blazer.

I can't get into the gallery now to upload my new pics, but I'll add them asap.

Thanks again for the great response:D

The insulation in my top is orangish and fairly stiff. I can see it in the seam the runs down the center of the top and also the plates that cover the hinges.

ok, here's the inside of my top, don't know if it's anything unusual or not...

Pretty close as the board goes, must be cool to be near the coast.

I'm close to the exact middle of VT, just south of Montpelier.

Like the cage, good looking blazer.

That's just a double-wall top. Pretty common, mine has one. Thanks for the new pics! I think I will just do a 2", but mine will be on 32s...

no problem, I'll take a motor shot when I clean under the hood.

Also: does anyone have a pic of a canback soft top? I just saw one in the new petersens offroad.... I might go that route when I pull the top off in the spring.

The last time I checked Can-back wasnt making soft tops for 1st gens, the one in Petersen's was a one off custom. I'm hoping they will some day, their stuff is da shizit.

What kind of mirrors are those? CIPA? Do you like them? I've been trying to find strong side mirrors that can handle antenna's and tree branches without looking too massive.
