Welcome to the site, low mileage. Did you restore it. Super clean truck!!!! Hang around here awhile and these guys will have cutting and chopping Later J.
Very nice ... and please don't go chopping it, no matter who tempts you. We've gotta save the 1st gen sheetmetal.
My 72 also has an insulated top, but I always thought that was something my dad did to it after he bought it.
And are those f*rd style mirrors?
The original owner restored it about 7 years ago. It hasn't been in rain or snow till now
VTblazer: I live in saco, shoot me a PM if you want
Not sure of the color, but I think I'll keep it for now. As for the insulated top, I was told that they didn't usually come this way. It has a fiberglass shell inside with ribbing in it and insulation between the outside and inside layer. It comes out in two pieces. Not sure if they were all this way or what, as I haven't seen a lot of 1st gen's in my area and this is my first blazer.
I can't get into the gallery now to upload my new pics, but I'll add them asap.
The insulation in my top is orangish and fairly stiff. I can see it in the seam the runs down the center of the top and also the plates that cover the hinges.
no problem, I'll take a motor shot when I clean under the hood.
Also: does anyone have a pic of a canback soft top? I just saw one in the new petersens offroad.... I might go that route when I pull the top off in the spring.
The last time I checked Can-back wasnt making soft tops for 1st gens, the one in Petersen's was a one off custom. I'm hoping they will some day, their stuff is da shizit.
What kind of mirrors are those? CIPA? Do you like them? I've been trying to find strong side mirrors that can handle antenna's and tree branches without looking too massive.
