Has anybody heard of this or know of anybody that has used this controller, looking for reviews and some info on it, cant find a whole lot though. Maybe I will just have to call them up. Here is the link.

The one I hear about most commonly is TCI

There are a couple other ones of great interest to me also:

F.A.S.T. makes a tranny controller. If it's anything like their FI systems it's very nice and very expensive.

PCS (www.powertraincontrolsolutions.com) makes one with a gorgeous looking PC interface and not too expensive IIRC. Someone on this site has installed one and loved the programmable shift firmness and other fine-tuning options. I'm sure a quick search for "PCS" will find the post...it was less than a year ago.

EDIT: Here's the link http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224798 it wasn't as easy to find as I thought. Also gave the original post a BTT.

Post up any new findings, I'm going to be in the market for a 4L80E controller at some point also.... :deal:

found another one on the jegs website, I am not sure if its another variation of the controller everybody already knows about or if it is something new, but here is the link anyways....and the price looks really good, maybe too good. Hmm What say ye? Also would anybody be interested in a group purchase on a transmission controller for the 4l80e?? Just curious as some companies give a good discount for group purchases.

I am looking into the compushift controller for my 4l80e. The guy that makes them could answer every question over the phone and always has answered when called. I couldn't get pcs to give me the time of day.

I'd go in on a group purchase. The CompuShift is at the top of my list but there are some new (to me) controllers on this thread I'd like to check into.

cool yeah the compushift sounds ideal, but the only place I found it had it listed for $1400, which is out of my budget. I called jegs earlier today to check out that controller they have specifically for stand alone setups that is listed for $523. The tech guy told me it includes the computer, laptop cable, wiring harness, and everything you would need.

He said they were made to be used with 12v/15v, dis, hei, and msd ignition, but wasnt sure whether it could be used with the mechanical diesel engine like the 6.2. But since with the other ignition systems like hei, msd, etc, all that is used is the tach signal. So I am thinking with a tach signal from the 6.2, it would work, but I am waiting to contact tci as well as painless performance on Monday for further information on either controller setup.

update, talked to tci yesterday, and apparently, they discontinued the 77010 controller listed for $523, they just integrated all of their operating systems into the new 77500 computer which you have to buy all the parts seperately adding up to over $1k...What is the cheapest you guys have found the compushift controller for? and where? I have found it for around $1200 just searching yahoo. Anywhere else that has them for a decent price?
