NEW \'73 K/5 PROJECT....WHAT TO DO??

I might be buying yet another K/5(this will make 3).It's an '73 model that was an body off rebuild, the tub is off the frame. The frame is sandblasted and treated with "ERF".The frame is clean enuff to eat off of.The body is without an top,but has the stock doors. The tub has a little rust in the floorpan and rust in the rear fenders, bondo in the bed rails. The "member" has all the parts to build it.Should I restore it or mod it?I'm thinking that I would hate to cut up a '73,but the body might be beyond restoring without alot of cash.I was thinking of installing an 454bb,SM465 "hydro" 4-speed and maybe running 3/4 ton diffs with 35/37" tires.Stick wi'th the '73 front clip(perfect grill) or a newer clip, soft top,and complete interior or stripped.I already have my '78 with an '81 clip, half doors,no top/tailgate 3/4 ton diffs w/38" tires.I don't really want to build another trail truck, but don't wish to spend alot of cash.Maybe sell my '78 and start over with this '73?Opinions on keeping it stock looling or build it?

Looks like I'm going to keep it stock looking and not cut it.I'll make it daily driver.I found a full top for it.So I will install a 4" lift with 35" tires, install a split bench front seat,A/C, and finally a stereo system. It will be something the wife can/willing to drive.Mike

Too cool, Mike! You need a daily drive/mild trail. Let me know if ya need anything that I can help with. Can't wait to see it. Full convertable. Cash wise piece by piece. You have lots of extra parts. Keep us informed on the progress. Take pic's and keep a record of what you do on it. You may want to do it with your oldest son so he has something when he is ready to drive. just a thought.
