I went up to Pa. and bought myself a 1978 gmc stepside truck.
pretty good shape, great running condition. of course it needs some minor tinkering here and there but all in all a good deal. I now have a work truck again, plus its a stepside which i have always wanted. I am assuming its a 350 motor atleast till i run the numbers. The tranny is a th350, the transfer case is supposed to be a 203 which I assume is the reason the rear shaft is not a slip yoke. The gearing according to the glove box info says 2:76
so the highway driving is pretty low rpm. Anyways, I will start replacing things as needed but for now its mainly to use as a work truck.
