I found this on CL for $450, 2- 5hp pumps & three phase motors, 120 gallon tank. It's missing a few check valves and the auto drain setup. A before and after I cleaned it up a bit.

-_-

All I can ever find around here is some dumb college student trying to sell a 3gal Chinese pancake compressor for 10 bucks less than retail.

Anything big that comes up they want big money for cause all the farmers and shops know what the stuff is worth.:doah:

My best buy was a Kellogg American 7.5 hp 3 phase on ebay for wait for it, .99 cents.

I found the other Champion duplex that was at the same shop (it's brother) some 5 months later, it's missing a pump and motor. The good news is it has the parts that were missing from the first one I bought. $300 was a good deal in my book.

So you can hook up the tanks together and have double the reserve cappacity running on one compressor.:thumb:

holy crap man. What do you need 700 Gallons of air for? Unless you are running a de-burring shop. :dunno::dunno:
(4) compressors with 120 gallon tanks.
(2) 80 gallon one.
(2) 60 gallons
(1) 30 gallon
(1) 120 gallon tank that's going to be a smoker.:D

Hello, anyone here that does painting? I'd like to paint this air compressor tank, the old paint is very thick. I DA the top but I'm not sure I want to put the effort in the whole thing.

What kind of result can I expect with rattle can primer and color? I'd leave the decals in place and tape them off. Any help would be great, this job is for re-sale and I'd like it to look nice.

I've thought about buying a hvlp? paint setup as I would use it a lot, just not sure which direction to go, thanks.
