It took me 20 minutes to install, cost was less than $135 shipped. Purchased on Amazon.com @ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014YGAY6/ref=oss_product

I still need to clean up the glue from the duct tape along the bottom where I was holding the broken one together but it looks good. I couldn't believe how well built this thing is. It's heavy alluminum and NOT plastic!!!!:D

Seems like it'd block the headlights something fierce... curious to see how it turns out in that regard.

But then I'm a bit weird about lights

looks good... i'm doubting that'll block much.. light has a tendency to reflect around that when it's that close to the source..

i'm doing an expanded steel one this weekend myself... grill week! :haha:

For the money I had to give it a try........that and knowing they are alluminum and not plastic!

I wanna do one of those, but not sure I want to spend that much

to just cut it up to fit my narrowed front end and winch mounted where the grille should go:D

I believe in some areas the phantom grille like that, that goes over the headlights is illegal. I just went with a standard billet grille and match painted the rails the same color as my K5.

I don't understand why it would be illegal as I still have about the same amount of headlight at night as I did before........but now that you've said this I don't remember it saying "legal in all 50 states" anywhere either :dunno:

I'm not positive. I just remember there being something about those phantoms. It's just like the black shades that some people like to put over their headlights to give them that tinted look during the day. Some counties say it's fine, and in some they are illegal. Regardless, I would run it anyway, even if your local laws say you can't. Chances are you probably wouldn't be bothered about it anyway.

That looks nice! Definitely let me know if they pull you over because of it. If it'd be anywhere it'd be California lol
