I just picked up the Prototype Dual Case adaptor from the Machine Shop Today.
Heres a Basic Rundown...

The adaptor is comprised of 3 pieces, the NP205 Side, the NP203 Side, and The Center Indexing Ring. All The parts involved are billet 6061-T6 Aluminum. Each mating part was mapped out using digital equipment, the fit and accuracy is excellent.
The basic thought with these adaptors is to be Modular.
There are 4 basic rotations, Regular, Upside down, 90* left, and 90* Right. This is used for your NP203
The next clocking sets are for your 205, dropped, stock, up, or flat belly.
The second clocking ring is 12* left or right, which translates to 2" up or down at the 205's output.
The 3rd clocking Is 6* left or right, which translates to 1" at the 205's input.
That said, you can jump in 27* increments as well, so you can see a whole array of options unfolding.

Its mind bending I know.

Basically it allows the user to simply move the adaptor to where it best suits them at the time. I'm sure a majority would go from stock, to somewhat of an up rotation, or possibly rotate a 203. Obviously some extreme possibilities are available.

Also, it allows a change in the 203 or 205 to a different style, without changing the whole adaptor. The center section will mate to any of the options.

I know what your all thinking. Stop trying to whore your [censored], and go pay for it! This post is Uber-Tech ONLY, and when the times comes (they're not available - YET) you'll find us in the Vendor section. Out of respect for the rules of this website, I don't want any replies as to how much it will be etc.

Just sit back, and enjoy the

WOW /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Im glad someone finally came up with something that was adjustable. And what a nice job you did. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

SAWEEEEEETTTT,

Nice machine work,,, /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

Looks nice....

What is the total length of the adapter? I was curious if making it adjustable affects it's overall length (ie. is it longer than other Doubler products)???

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is straight up /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

BLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLING!

I can't wait to have one in my own truck. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Very cool stuff! /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

Any thoughts about making OE duplicates? You know, stuff that's hard to find like the 465/203, etc.. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I would be interested in a 465/203 also.

That really looks impressive!!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

the Adaptor is 3" Face to Face.

I've Already Started OE Duplicates.

Allt he peices are interchangeable, they Bolt together with 3/8" Cap screws. Each part indexes into the Next by a full 1/4", everything sits nice and solid. The new models I've increased the BCD of the centersection, to give a very large footprint.

Can I assume the multi piece design is cheaper on material since a larger block is not neccessary?? The 203 side should also be faster to mill since it is completely a 2D piece. What are your plans for the intermidiate shaft?

Billet 4340 shafts.

And yes, that is one of the bonuses that it saves om material. That said, it has 3 parts to fixed multiple times, rather than one large one.

Any plans to make it so you can use something besides a 32 spline short TH400 version NP205? Like say, a 32 spline long SM465 version NP205?

It's pretty hard to find the NP203 and adapter for behind whatever transmission you're running, let alone trying to find one specific NP205.
