The hard lines on the 14BFF I have aren't in the best of shape,so I'm going to replace them.

What do you guys recommend using? If they're even available,Stock replacements? I have seen what look like universal hard-lines used on some trucks that are user-bent with some type of aftermarket junction bolted on over the diff. Anyone know where these are available?

muchas gracias in advance:D

I'm sure stock replacement lines are available, have you tried LMC?

Assuming they are pricey (or unavailable) you can buy straight tubing (cheap from any auto parts store) and a brake line bending/flaring kit (I would recommend the harbor freight setup or one found online).

I have the one from Harbor Freight, it was cheap and works great :pimp:

i got some that were damn close to the right length from the auto parts store. just eyeballed it and they came out great. measure with a string or something. and see if you can get a rough estimate. i didnt have to flare anything.

I just scoured HarborFreights website and ordered a bunch 'o goodies. Didn't even notice the brake line bending/flaring kit:confused:

I forgot to add cutting wheels for the angle grinder anyway,so i guess its a good excuse for another order:D

I like your diff cover paint idea. I may have to semi-copy it ,for when I move to the east coast for a little while.
:wink1:

When my Dad did his axle swap, he got a front to back set of stainless steel brake lines for his Silverado from http://www.inlinetube.com/
Which included new lines for the axle. I'm pretty sure that they are available separately

ahhhhh, I forgot about inlinetube. Need to keep the cost reasonable though. I've already shelled out several hundred$ in parts and still have a few hundred$ left to spend. Stainless may be out of the question

Napa has assorted legnths and diameters of brake line tube that comes flared with fittings.Figure out what legnth ya need and bend it to fit.Cheap n easy :D

I redid the lines on my old 14 bold and plumbed my line lock last week with the Napa pre made lines :D

Thats an idea. If I went that route I could just remove the stock lines and take 'em to the parts store with me to get the right lengths
