Finally feel like showing off my truck in my own build thread after looking at everyone elses.

Heres a little background on the truck: Bought the truck from jackedjimmy about 6 months ago as a builder project. Ive already posted the story of our trouble getting it down here and he offered lots of help in getting it here.

Had major problems getting it to run right. Swapped carbs, rebuild the distributor and put on an exhaust. It was lacking power majorly, never could get it to run right and it always sounded like the rockers were rattling. The motor was suppose to be a new rebuild but something wasnt right. After tearing it down I found out that the timing marks werent lined up on the gears. Lined up the marks, replaced cam and all the pushrods. Still didnt have quite the power it should. Come to find out the rattling rockers were actually the valves hitting the pistons. I replaced the heads with another set I had and then it came alive.

After fixing the motor I installed a 4inch lift I had, sanded it down and primered it and put the interior together.

Specs: 350 with edelbrock intake, q-jet, msd dizzy, comp #268 cam, hedman headers/turbo 350 b&m shift kit/10blts with 3:73 gears/4inch lift 35" wildcats

I plan to finish trimming the fenders so the tires wont rub, replacing the rear block with my shackle flip and adding some lockrights to the front and rear.

heres the heads and cam that I destroyed. plan to rebuild the heads and use them later.

finishing paint

narrowed front bumper and tow hooks added

this is what happens when you leave work and someone has stolen your u-joint straps. laziness wouldnt allow me to remove the shaft but it is fixed now.

heres how it sits now

thanks for the offer but I work at a parts store so I get them pretty cheap.
