A good day today. I picked up a new to me car trailer this morning. At lunch with the wife (i had a double bacon cheeseburger), Kert's wife called to tell me my bumper is done. I had order a gauntlet with a tire carrier. Then headed over to Kert's shop to pick it. Wow he has quite a shop and is a hell of a guy!!! When it was all said and done we had the bumper loaded and had about a 10 truck convoy lined up for next year's Blazer Bash. I dropped the bumper off at a friend's body shop for painting. More pictures are to follow.

My buddy at the body shop called and said the bumper was done. We bolted it up after he closed up today. All I can say is wow, Kurt's machine work and assembly are AWESOME, top notch, second to none. Every bolt hole lined up perfect and the bumper looks and works awesome!!!

Nice truck. I'm seriously considering Kert's bumper for my Suburban. What size spare is mounted there? Do you find that with the spare tire in the down position, accessing the rear storage through the barn doors is a PITA? Does the tire/carrier get in your way much? Would it be difficult to load/unload heavy and awkward object like coolers?

The only time I can see the spare being a problem is the large awkward objects like coolers by yourself. If you have a helper, no problem. Also this thing is built like a brick shit house. If you need to, you can set stuff on the spare tire, re-position and then load it. I stand on the spare (near the bumper) to get in the back and I'm not light.........

I have a 33X12.50 tire on mine.

Does he make bumpers for the 90 trucks? I'd like to buy my wife a pre runner style front for her 1998 K2500 6.5TD Burb.
