Been working on this for about the last 3 or 4 weeks. Don't slam me too hard it's my 1st cage and it's not done. I did not do it by my self I did have experienced help who knew how to use his bender. The front shocks were tricky and took a lot of R&D but think they will be fine.

Nice work my friend! :waytogo:

Take a couple shots from further back so we can see the whole truck at once and really soak in the new "vibe"...

:usaflag:

ps. Nice work sinking those a-pillars into the dash. It's not easy, is it??

Wow, that looks really nice, good job. :pimp:

I like how you brought the cage through the dash instead of in front of it.

If I ever move to the cage phase, I would like to do the same thing.

Thanks guys. Greg no it's not easy for sure. We did use your pics for reference although I kinda opted to not get as close to the a-pillar and used a flat bar to tie-in the windshield frame. Also put the horizontal a bit higher so I could still incorporate the stock sun visors with some minimal grind and fit.

looks good...

for the record.... don't attach the photos, just host em on photobucket and put the links in using the pic icon when posting.. you can put up as many as you want.. plus non members can see them too...

Well another 2 days and 22 hrs of work. I under estimated how long a million welds was going to take. The cage is pretty much welded together and I tore the front clip off (Again) to get at the shock mounts better, then painted the shock mounts and reinstalled them. Heading to the rear shocks this week and then it's off to wiring this bit%$ up. O-Yea I couldn't afford suspension seats (Yet) so I'm just having the stockers reupholstered for now.

The work looks real good! By the looks of it you are building it to be a prerunner.

What type of fox shocks are those?

So, what is new and what is old?

It all kinda blends together in the engine bay? :D

Red truck, blue engine components, green cagework......

Starting to look like a big delicious bowl of M&Ms! :D

I am in awe how rust free your frame is!

Sick work, what kind of leaves are in the front?

Thanks. You know it took tons of work to get the frame to look like that. It was a process I don't soon want to repeat. The springs I ordered from Stephen over at ORD. The brand name escapes me at this moment.

I like your idea of haveing the parts unbolt, but at the same time i like to have everything welded....but thats just me. we burn alot of race cars and are always fixing and welding frame and cage tubing

Looks like you have spent alot of time designing the cage. and i like how the rear seat sits in the back and the cage fits tight against the body as close as you could make it.

Excellent job on incorporating the cage into the tub, really great!

You did almost exactly whay I had planned for the front hoop but I like yours a little better.

Gonna steal a couple ideas from ya. :waytogo:

Thanks! By all means steal away. That's why we keep paying $25 to stay here. I've stole ER-used many others ideas and just tweaked them to my liking. If you need more pics or just better angled ones just ask.
