New Can-Backs coming for our K5's!

For a long time I wanted one of the K5 Can-Back soft-tops.

But they had gone out of business. Now the company has been bought, and they list the K5 tops as planned to ship this month! $1200.

Amen to that, Brother! Anybody ever look at having something custom made? Just curious about the cost effectiveness of that. Is the cab mounting rail available separately I wonder?

same here... I decided not to go topless for this very reason, regardless of manufacturer.

What about making your own frame out of square and talking to a boat shop er something bout gettin some canvas made. You could do it for less than half that.

how bout some electrical conduit for the frame and some canvas pup tents sewn together...still haven't built it yet, but I will...

It's right on their website, that's why I posted the links.

The old Can-Backs were pretty nice, and in my opinion worth the lack-of-hassle trying to rig your own and get it made.
