thanks steve (stevekibbe) and james (jac6695) for the hook up on newer style caps and such. got them today and threw em on. with my studded snow tires. i think the black fits the rest of the truck scheme well it does however tell me i need to go a bit bigger on the tires. i had 35 bfg at's which were a bit big for the 5 inch lift (4" spring...1" body) i may go with a set of 285/75/16 bfg's in the spring

thanks! i have always liked the looks of cowl hoods. when i was younger i had a 69 ss big block camaro with same color scheme, hugger orange, houndstooth interior, it had a cowl hood replacing the ss one but had the d90 stripes on the fenders etc. the truck was heading for the trail truck route but i bought another victim the orange 67 has a rat also! as a side note anyone ever see a gmc camper cruiser before

thanks vtblaver! the pics of your 72 prompted me to look for the newer style caps never heard of the camper cruiser before i bought the truck. it came with owners manual and protecto-plate.
