Bumble bee was overdue for a wash and wax. Was also avoiding puting in a carb kit so instead opted for a shiney new carb. Starts and runs SO much better.

I like new shiney carbs.... Recently put a Holley Street Avenger on the '68 C10... fired right up and I never touched any adjustment screws... idles and runs better than it ever has.
I also put a QFT 650 cfm Black Diamond on the LUV truck... I haven't cranked it yet, but it's a sweet little carb. Hope it works as good as it looks.
For 800 bucks, it better...
I see you are running an Eldebrock ,,, that's one carb I have never ever run on any of my engines in over 40 years of playing with cars and trucks..
Don't know why, I just got really good with Holley's and Q-jets and never tried one. I really liked the old model 800 cfm Q-jet before they went to the smog model,, those were a damn good street strip carb... I could make them sing!!
Don't get me wrong,,Eddy's aren't a bad carb, lots of people run them, swear by 'em, and win with them...
