I'm looking at buying a new carb what should I get. curently I have an edlbrook 625 cfm on a built 350 10-1 compression something like that(HEI ign, flat top pistons, RV cam, larger valves, holly intake, headers no cats) I recently rebuilt it but still rough. I was thinking about a road demon carb 625CFM but not sure about their off road worthyness.

Get one of the new Holley Street Avenger carbs. Very improved over the old style Holleys.

Chevy good...Ford bad

I also have a carb question. How much would a rebuilt q-jet cost for a stock 350?

Holly bad..Quadrajet good. Rebuilt Quad that was stock for that truck is about $120 at Autozone plus core. If your going to wheel it trust me the only thing better than the Quad is Fuel injection. We (Depdog and I) proved that to Keith at Tellico by standing our trucks on the back bumper and letting them idle. He couldn't keep his Eddelbrock running on the same hill. Holly is Just as bad and even worse off camber.

Depends what type of rebuild you want, you could call jet performance and they will do it right and calibrate it to your vehicle, they can even do it better than stock for about $200. I knor thats probably a bit more than most local places but if you want it done right by pros then jet is the place. http://www.jetchip.com

I agree with Grim... Quadrajet's are awesome for off-roading.. and they dont' hiccup like the holley's when you get at off-angles in your truck..
Now.. Edelbrock makes a Quadrajet replacement carb.. a bit pricey.. But a good write up on it from Peterson's 4 wheeler and Off-Road..

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it. http://www.rocko.coloradok5.com
