new Carburetor for 454

I just got a Truck Avenger 770 for mine.

After pricing the Quad stuff out there, (and not hearing back from 2 different suppiers) I decided to go with the Holley. I'm familiar with them, and have a bunch of parts for them already too.

I haven't heard much about the ones coming from summit but considering their customer service I think I would take the risk.

I really like the quadrajet carb good throttle response, good power, and better economy than a square bore

I do like the quads too, I have 4 of them, but none big enough. All were for 350's, and I don't want to start buying a bunch of parts to make them work in my 454 application.

Which makes me question, how can a carb fit 305 thru 454 engines with one part #????????

That is what I was thinking.

I was trying to contact SMI carbs, but couldnt get a reply from them. I was going to check into a custom built quad, like Kert did for his. Dialed right in to a particular combination.
I've farted around enough with my 750 on my Vette to dial it in, and was able to pick up 3 tenths by tuning the thing to my combination, (with timing changes too).
I'm confident in Holleys that I could mess with them if I need to.
