anyone klnow where to buy new carpet, or would it be better just to buy carpet and cut it myself?

LMC truck, JC Whitney, etc.
I tried the cut your own thing, and it didnt come out very good.

I bought mine through JCWhittneys about 3years ago and it's held up great. It came molded for the tranny hump and everything.

That's the drawback of cutting it yourself. You won't get a good fit around the hump and wheel wells.

Use a company called ASC(or it might be ACS, I will verify) or ACC. They are about the best companies out there and LMC and others use one of the two for most of thier stuff. I always liked to cut out the middleman to save some $$. I think ASC is cheaper. My uncle has an upolstry shop and uses them when he uses premolded stuff. He says to go w/ ASC.

Good lord. The rod up that man's butt must have a rod up it's butt.

Auto Custom Carpets(ACC) in Aniston Alabama make the best reproduction molded carpet for our trucks IMHO.

Go to a local auto trim shop. They have numerous sources and you can see what you are buying, feel it and match the color you want. When I replaced my carpet I also bought enough carpet to do my custom side panels, it all matches.

I did both and saved some money along the way. I think it would be impossible to cut carpet for the front, because it doesn't lay flat so I ordered a custom fitted rubber mat that covers up every inch the carpet used to. $55
For the rear, since it is flat, I got a big slab of black carpet from an outlet store here for $10, and cut it myself. It took a while, but looks good and was dirt cheap.
$65 is way better than giving LMC or JC Whitney $250!
