New CD player blinks on and off

I was installing my new poineer 4700mp cd player today in my 82 K5. I had tested it earlier and it worked perfect. Now i am about ready to install it and I tested it to see how my new speakers sound and, I find that when I turn the ignition to give it power instead of turning on like normal. The cd player just blinks off and on every few seconds. So i checked my ground and tryed again, same thing, I guess i don't know where else to go from here. Thanks

Well i figured what was going on here. When i installed my new speaker, the wire that goes from the terminal to the speaker was touching the metal in my door, which was causeing the radio to short out.
