So I recently started a lot porter position with Lithia of chevy and I get to drive vehicles back an forth between lots. Now personaly i find the gear shift lever on the new 1500 to be the best fit (what i mean by this is the fitment in hand). I was woundering if any one has thought our maybe have done a wright up of a swap on gear shifters i hate floor shifters and want my interior as stock an clean as possible and i think this would be a perfect addition. ill post a pic just so you guys have a better idea of what i mean.

Im not looking for functionality i just love the grip...oh by the way im talking swaping it into a 86 k20. Any thoughts??

That was one of the things I disliked the most on my old 07 work truck...ugh, everything felt oversized and plasticy. I think that the whole shape and look of it is going to look completely out of place in one of these trucks. That being said, your best bet would be to remove the current gear shifter (should just be a pin holding it in) and measure the width of the groove, the with of the pin hole, and how far the pin hole is from the edge. Use a pair of calipers for this. Go to the parts department at chevy and ask if you can check one out. That'll get one mounted up if it's close.
